ADDING TEXT WATERMARK TO A PDF

There are sometimes when you would like add a stamp to a PDF document. This may be to stamp the document as “Confidential” or marking an invoice as “Paid”. All-About-PDF allows to do add a text stamp to your PDF file by following the steps below:

  1. Download and install All-About-PDF if you haven’t done so already

  2. Click on the “Watermark” button

  3. Select the File that you would like to watermark

  4. Select “Text Watermark” as the watermark type

  5. Type in the text of the watermark

  6. Click the “…” button to specify the font size, type and color of the watermark

  7. Specify the position of the watermark using these properties:

    1. Type: Overlay to place the watermark on top of the document of Underlay to place it beneath the contents of the PDF

    2. Angle: The angle of the text watermark. We recommend using 45 degrees for most text watermarks

    3. Horizontal Alignment: Specify whether you would like the watermark to be placed on the left, center or right side the document

    4. Vertical Alignment: Specify whether you would like the watermark to be placed at the top, middle or bottom of the document

  8. Press the “Stamp” button to apply the watermark to your PDF file. The new watermarked file will be saved as [original filename]_stamped.pdf

Adding an image watermark to a PDF with All-About-PDF is very similar to adding a text watermark:

  1. Download and install All-About-PDF if you haven’t done so already

  2. Click on the “Watermark” button

  3. Select the File that you would like to watermark

  4. Select “Image Watermark” as the watermark type

  5. Drop the image you would like applied into the drop zone. You can use JPG and PNG image files

  6. Specify the position of the watermark using these properties:
